“DirectX 12 is not supported on your system”, “OpenGL 3.3 or higher is required”, “A D3D11 compatible GPU (feature level 11.0) is required”, GLFW error 65542 in Minecraft. There is no DirectX or OpenGL download that fixes these: those versions come from the graphics driver. A PC running the generic Microsoft Basic Display Adapter driver has no OpenGL and no DirectX 12 at all. The free scan shows which graphics driver is installed and whether a newer one exists.
Your PC is currently running: Windows
Windows 10 and 11 include DirectX 12. The game sees no DirectX 12 because the graphics driver is generic or ancient, or the GPU is too old for feature level 12 - the scan tells which.
Minecraft, Blender and emulators need OpenGL from the graphics driver. With the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter there is OpenGL 1.1 and nothing else - a driver update, not an OpenGL download, fixes it.
Older games use DirectX 9 helper libraries that modern Windows does not ship. They come from Microsoft's DirectX End-User Runtime installer, not from a single DLL from a random site.
Unreal and Unity games refuse to start when the driver exposes no DirectX 11. On laptops with two GPUs it often means the game runs on the wrong one, or the dedicated GPU has no driver.
A free scan can identify the installed hardware and show available driver information.
These are the standard Windows checks - they take a few minutes and sometimes do the trick:
The weak spot of the manual route: at the "Update driver" step Windows searches only its own catalog, which is often missing or outdated for the exact model - it can report that the best driver is already installed even when a newer one exists. The free scan checks your devices against a database of 1,000,000+ drivers, so one pass shows whether better versions are available.
The application identifies the hardware installed on your PC and checks the current driver information.
See detected devices, installed driver versions and available updates. Nothing changes during the scan.
Review the results and decide which available updates you want to apply.
A license is required only if you choose to apply the available updates.

No. DirectX 12 is part of Windows 10 and 11, and OpenGL and Vulkan are inside the graphics driver, not separate downloads. Sites offering “OpenGL 4.6 download” give you either an old Microsoft runtime or something you do not want. The real fix is the current driver for your GPU, which the scan identifies.
Only if the hardware supports it. The scan shows the driver that exists for your exact GPU; the dxdiag feature levels show what the chip can do. A card from 2010 will not get DirectX 12 with any driver - it is said plainly here so you can decide whether the game can run at all.
No, it is a DirectX 9 library that Windows 10 and 11 no longer include. Install Microsoft's DirectX End-User Runtime once and all those d3dx9, d3dx10 and xinput1_3 libraries are in place. The scan keeps the driver side current; the runtime covers the DLL side.
No. Nothing changes during the scan. Driver updates are applied only after you review the results and choose what to update.
Yes. Each detected item can be reviewed, applied or skipped individually. Backup and restore options are available before updates are applied, so a previous driver version can be restored if necessary.
The button downloads Outbyte Driver Updater, a Windows desktop application. The website itself does not scan your computer in the browser - the check runs in the application after you install and start it.
The scan and results are free. A license is required only if you choose to download and apply the available updates. Current pricing and license terms are shown before purchase.
Supports Windows 11 and 10 · Uninstall anytime via Settings → Apps · If no updates are found, the scan still shows the current driver state of your devices.
